MDLIVE Restored a Patient’s Trust in Doctors
“A patient needed to renew a medication and didn’t have quick access to a PCP so she called MDLIVE. Not only was she recently diagnosed with cancer, she was also suffering from anxiety and having trouble sleeping. In just a few months I was able to build a strong connection with the patient and support her overall health. She expressed that MDLIVE has restored her trust in doctors. I’m grateful to work for a company that can make this type of impact in a person’s life.”
Pharmacist Helps Patient Test Blood Sugar
“I reached out to a patient who had just started a new medication after being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. I quickly realized she didn’t know how to test her blood sugar. Her local pharmacist had been too busy to show her when she picked up the supplies. After guiding her through the process we discovered her blood sugar was elevated, so I gave her tips to help keep it under control. It’s interactions like this and the help I’m able to provide to patients that makes me proud to work for Express Scripts.”

“I took a call from an elderly customer who has several chronic health conditions and was suffering from major depression. I worked with her for several months, researching and providing resources for her and encouraging her to seek therapy. She was connected to a therapist and additional case managers through the Ginger app. We were also able to find a grant program that enabled the customer to join a local senior citizen center, where she now regularly socializes, plays bingo and does water aerobics. I’m proud to help customers like this live more meaningful lives.”
As a personal nurse case manager, I handle outreach and inbound calls from customers. During a call I identified that a customer was experiencing severe respiratory distress. I quickly gained permission to call for an ambulance, and while I stayed on the line with the customer, my supervisor called 911. Once transferred to long-term case management the case manager contacted her. The customer asked that she pass on her gratitude and appreciation to me, saying, “God bless that girl. She saved my life.”
